September
September has come and gone in no time. The horses have now been in for a couple months and the work is ramping up. Its been great to have some of the jockeys in over the last few weeks, schooling over the hurdles and fences and stepping up to some faster work on the gallops. The team are doing a great job.
In the middle of September, we held our annual Owners day, It was a lovely opportunity to parade all the horses and look back on their successes from the 2025/26 season, followed by a lovely lunch and chance to catch up with owners.
We're really looking forward to the season ahead and seeing the horses back out on the racecourse. A huge thank you, as always, to all of our owners for their continued support, and to our sponsors, Coral. We're incredibly grateful for your support and look forward to the exciting season ahead.
AUGUST
A great start to August with horses all back in and now catering on the gallops after a steady start hacking and on the walkers to ease them back in. Its been great to see owners over the last couple weeks coming in to see there horses. Due to the lack of rain throughout the summer sadly we have not had many runners, but a great day last week after Ellerton wins at Newton Abbot for John Romans.
End of August we opened our yard as part of the National Racehorse week. An absolutely brilliant day had by all. It was great to see and meet so many new faces, and it makes us as a yard feel proud of what we do and we are grateful to everyone that came along to support us. A big thank you to everyone that helped us on the day.
